I am an elderly balding chap but still quite sprightly.  I was orginally born in Germany in the very early 20th Century so I am one of the earliest Bears as you know us.
 
When I first came to live at the Bassett Bears Hug I was rather showing my age, but Steve and Jane knew that I was someone special and they took me to Hospital (you can read my story in the Bassett Bears Blog).
 
I am a very handsome golden bear from Bing, I have plastic orange and black eyes, a black stitched nose and mouth and black stitched claws on cotton paw pads.
 
I have survived the ravages of two world wars, a couple of generations of children and eventual neglect in the attic!  I am, however, a very happy fella who loves life and still has many years of love to give.
 
At 18 inches (46cm) tall I am quite a good sized bear.  I have a very regal profile and a wonderful hump on my shoulders.  When I was in hospital they could not save my ancient gowler but it was not removed - always good to know that you are complete isn't it at over 100 years old.
 
I am looking for a new home when I can have a fairly sedate time but still watch the world go by and give and receive lots of love.
